Today, The Technicolors released a brand new song titled “Lilies for Lily” in the form of a digital single and music video. The song, available worldwide on iTunes, Spotify, and Apple Music fronts as fans first taste of new music from the band since The Technicolors five song EP Sweat dropped last summer. The Phoenix native band, perhaps best described as Brit-rock in the desert has been tight lipped about their time in the studio over the last year, emerging today with the new tune.
The sound progresses naturally from the band’s most recent releases (Sweat, Ultraviolet Disguise) while bringing forward new elements and experimentation. While still identifiable as The Technicolors trademark sound, “Lilies for Lily” stands out as a defining direction for the band sonically showing off a heightened maturity both in musicianship and aesthetically.
The music video follows the band into a vintage TV set and cuts between their live performance of the song and outdoor film footage fitting the overall retro vibe of the video. For a band known for their incredible live set, the video perfectly captures the heart and soul of The Technicolors. The music video premiered exclusively as a VEVO feature.
The new single “Lilies for Lily” is available now across all digital platforms including iTunes, Spotify, and Apple Music. Fans can watch the music video exclusively on VEVO.
