-Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

What’s up VENTS? We have been very well, thank you! We have been spending a lot of time rehearsing, and putting together some exciting new content for our followers!

-Can you talk to us more about your latest song “In Vogue”?

“In Vogue” is the first song we have released since late 2015. We spend a lot of time on our new music, and we’re ecstatic about the fresh new vibe we’ve developed. “In Vogue” was a track that we wanted to put out first to break the silence, and start conversation among our listeners. So far, the reaction from the public has surpassed our expectations. We wrote this song to mark a turning point in our lives, and in our music careers. It’s about coming to terms with your past experiences, and learning of how great it feels to navigate through them towards a new beginning. This song will not be a part of any future album, and is currently available on ITunes, Apple Music, Spotify, and Pandora.

-Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?

The music industry is very unforgiving, and every musician is faced with challenges along the way to success. This song is a condensed look through 3-year window of time in our lives. We have been through so much together as a band. As musicians, when we feel strongly about something, we write about it. Too many people bottle their emotions up inside and have trouble sticking up for themselves. With this song, we want to show people that it is okay to talk about your problems, and to never be afraid or intimidated when voicing your opinion.

-Any plans to release a music video for the track?

We will not be releasing a music video for this song in particular, but we do have some very exciting releases that we cannot talk about just yet.

-How was the recording and writing process?

All of our new material was recorded in multiple locations in Albany, New York by our guitarist Brandon John.  Those locations include our shared home, a cabin in the woods, and our practice space. We spent months at home tracking. We then spent a week in Grafton, New York locked in a small cabin tracking. After the cabin we traveled to Michigan on two separate occasions to mix and master the material with Nick Scott at NS Studios (Emmure, Attila, I See Stars).

-What role does your hometown of Albany play in your music?

The music we write comes from our souls. I believe the area we were raised in has had an enormous impact on our souls, and the people we’ve become. We believe in writing music that reflects the people we are, and the events that have affected us during our lives. All of our lyrics are based on real life events, many of which taking place in Albany. The name Restless Streets came from the constant activity in our city. No matter what time it is you can be sure that there is something going on outside your window. There are so many different types of people living here who live such diverse, and interesting lives. We love the unique mix of personality, and culture that is packed into this city, and we are inspired by new experiences every day we live and create here.

-How’s your new EP coming along?

We have been very hard at work on new material. I can’t say too much about it right now, but there is A LOT of new work being accomplished. Fans are going to be very pleased sooner than they think.

-Any tentative release date or title in mind?

We will be announcing new music and release dates within the coming weeks.

-Any plans to hit the road?

We will be on tour this summer. We will be announcing our first run of select dates very soon, so keep yourself informed through our facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.

-What else is happening next in Restless Streets’ world?

We are all eager to share our new music with the world, and all of our amazing fans that have been sticking by us and showing enthusiasm for whatever we release. We want everyone to know that we have poured or hearts into this new music, and we feel like this material represents Restless Streets. We know people will be able to connect with us, and people will be singing with us to these emotional, and catchy new songs. We want to take our music internationally and connect with people from all different walks of life. We believe this music will take us there and we couldn’t be more excited to start this new journey. R//S 2017 is underway.
