South Florida alternative indie singer/songwriter Alex Di Leo has been making noise with the release of his debut solo EP So We Go, out now. The songwriter has been treating fans to videos including a live performance of “I’ve Been Waiting” and two cinematic music video for “Waking Up,” and the EP’s title track, “So We Go.” Today, Di Leo unveiled another intricately produced music video, directed by Josiah Sampson, covering The Chainsmokers’ hit song “Paris.” The video comes just a day after Di Leo announced that he will be performing on the JetBlue Stage at Florida’s SunFest in West Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday, May 7 2017. Alex Di Leo will be hitting the stage following Rachel Platten, playing in direct support of X-Ambassadors and Kaleo. Check out his cover of The Chainsmokers’ “Paris” here. Here is what Alex had to say about covering “Paris:

“‘I covered “Paris” by The Chainsmokers as the definition of the song title or the definition they created really stood out to me. At the end of the song I tagged a chorus of my song “Promise” that I’m currently in the process of recording. I feel that lyrically both songs express a similar concept. Looking forward to performing “Promise” at SunFest May 7th (5pm)” – Alex Di Leo

Alex Di Leo began his solo career after his reputable rock band Wyld Fly parted ways in 2014. Spending the next year writing and recording music, Di Leo gathered most of his inspiration from traveling, using his songs as an uplifting way to share new experiences and journeys. Di Leo explains, “I’m constantly thinking of how short our lives are and how important it is to experience new things, take risks, and to not be afraid of what could go wrong, but what could go right. Sometimes it’s the journey that teaches you a lot about the destination”

In 2016, Alex and his new alternative sound, inspired by indie, pop, and folk, made its debut at the For The Love Music Festival, followed by an appearance at the Undertow Jam Music Festival, garnered attention from notable outlets such as BalconyTV. With influences ranging from Coldplay to Vance Joy, Arcade Fire and more, Alex Di Leo and his band bring their fans uplifting songs that get fans singing along to enchanting, hook-filled melodies.

“Alexander Di Leo’s music has a refreshing sound and is a musician’s total package. Alex and his band look like they are having a great time on stage, it’s infectious. His set at the ‘For The Love Music Festival’ was one of the most attended and one of the most enjoyable sets from the festival.” -Josh Miller, Founder, C&I Studios & For The Love Music Festival
