17-Year-Old French Producer Petit Biscuit To Play Sold Out North American Tour This Spring

Rising French producer Petit Biscuit (\pə.ti bis.kɥi\) will play select North American shows this spring, marking his first ever live dates on the continent. Already completely sold out, the shows follow Petit Biscuit’s debut, self-titled EP released last year—single “Sunset Lover” has been streamed more than 120 million times to date on Spotify alone. Watch the video here.

Petit Biscuit, 17-year-old Mehdi Benjelloun, will play Austin’s Euphoria Fest, Montreal, Toronto, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Brooklyn on his high school spring break, before returning to France for exams.

A classically trained musician from a young age, Petit Biscuit plays piano, guitar, cello and more, and began experimenting with electronics to form his signature sound at age 11. His live show combines acoustic and electric elements, with Petit Biscuit’s trademark vocal manipulations at the forefront.

In addition to millions of streams on Spotify, Petit Biscuit’s music has been viewed more than 113 million times on YouTube, the biggest French commercial radio stations have him at the top of their playlists, and SiriusXM’s Chill has given early support to the track. His chart success speaks for itself: #52 on Spotify’s global chart, #67 on the US chart, and #46 in Canada.

Abroad, the track can be heard on Beats1 (Apple Music), BBC1 (U.K.), TripleJ (Australia), PureFM (Belgium), Couleur3 (Switzerland), P3 (Sweden) and many more. His music can be found in the Spotify Top 100 of 26 countries.

More new music and tour dates are forthcoming in 2017.
