PREMIERE: Deni Bonet Releases New Music Video For “Palisades”

Thanks to violinists like Lindsey Sterling and Taylor Davis, classic instruments has found a place in the popular culture, outside the realm of traditional music scenes where this style would usually shine out the most – Deni Bonet is the next to join the wagon by bringing a more classic approach. The notes played by her violin on “Palisades” evokes feelings of both joy and nostalgia in a piece that would surely get under more than one skin. The video is as inspirational as the track itself.

Although classically trained, Deni quit the classical world because she hated having to wear black and sit still! She was an original cast member of National Public Radio’s premier music show, Mountain Stage, performing in her own right and ‘sitting in’ with guests like Richard Thompson, Warren Zevon, the Indigo Girls, and Luka Bloom, before leaving the show to form her own band. She has recorded & toured with Cyndi Lauper, R.E.M., Sarah McLachlan, Robyn Hitchcock and many others.

Bright Shiny Objects, recorded with Grammy-winning engineer Robert L Smith, and Emmy-winning producer, Paul Bevan is due for release in January 2017 in the US, Canada and the BeNeLux on Zip Records, distributed by Sony-RED and PIAS/Rough Trade.  Deni has spent the past year and a half writing and recording with a Who’s Who of some of the best musicians on the planet – including Steve Gaboury (Cyndi Lauper), Liberty DeVitto (Billy Joel), Richard Barone (Bongos), Shawn Pelton (SNL), Will Lee (Letterman), Matt Beck (Matchbox Twenty), Steve Holley (Paul McCartney), Graham Maby (Joe Jackson), Ben Butler (Chris Botti), Mike Visceglia (Suzanne Vega), and the list goes on and on…
