Following her critically acclaimed album ‘Novel’, Louise is back with a brand new contemporary Soul record. Five tracks. Five producers. One theme.
Love It Or Leave It shows Louise’s more sassy side and a move into a new, creative direction. Each track tackles the common theme of ‘Love‘, but from various angles and each track was written with a different producer.
Love It Or Leave It begins with the bluesy mid-tempo ‘I Have Never’, written and produced with Adam Rust (JP Cooper) which has hints of Tropical House sounds in its instrumentation.
It features the single ‘Please Don’t, produced by Freemonk and accompanied by a music video in which she shows off her dancing skills. This track has already received a lot of air play on national and international radio stations.
‘It’s True’ was written with upcoming production outfit Surefire (led by guitarist Matt ‘Mafro Waters – Ghetts, Shakka, Bibi Borelly). This song is a twist on classic R&B with a Trap and EDM feel.
Louise is a London born singer / songwriter and a regular face on the live music scene. Having played Glastonbury and Isle of Wight Festivals, recorded at Maida Vale Studios for the BBC and shared the stage and supported many established artists including Ed Sheeran (who also features in one of Louise’s early music videos), Katy B, Jessie J, George Benson, Roberta Flack and En Vogue (Indigo2) and most recently Roy Ayers at The Jazz Cafe.
She has worked on music with Example and The Newham Generals (signed to Dizzee Rascal’s Dirtee Stank label) and her music has support from DJs across the BBC networks, Jazz FM, Mi Soul, Capital Xtra and many radio stations across Europe.
Louise’s voice has been described as reminiscent of that of neo-soul artists such as Lauren Hill and Erykah Badu.
Her 2015 album Novel was produced by Mercury Music Prize Nominee Drew Horley (De La Soul, Estelle, Roots Manuva) and featured UK Soul legend Omar (who Louise will be opening for at London’s Jazz Cafe in June).
