COIN RELEASES NEW SINGLE “I DON’T WANNA DANCE”; NASHVILLE BAND ANNOUNCES SPRING HEADLINING TOUR

Nashville band COIN releases their new infectious single “I Don’t Wanna Dance” today. The track premiered on SiriusXM Alt Nation’s Advanced Placement yesterday followed by an online listen with EARMILK. The single is a follow up to COIN’s Alternative Radio Top 10 hit single, “Talk Too Much” and is available on all DSPs. The band will be releasing their sophomore full-length album this spring.

Frontman Chase Lawrence provides some insight on the track, “‘I Don’t Wanna Dance’ is this push and pull. Like many songs on the new album, it’s conflicted. We don’t wanna ruin what’s seemingly perfect by showing our less preferred side. We’re all gonna die; so, why not live as yourself?”

COIN will be embarking on a national headlining tour in support of their upcoming album this spring. The 28-date “HWYKIYNT” tour kicks off on April 21 in Detroit, MI and wraps in Bentonville, AR on June 28. Among playing cities such as New York, Chicago, Philadelphia and Los Angeles, COIN will also be hitting the festival circuit including Hangout Fest, Bonnaroo and Forecastle. See a complete list of tour dates below. Tickets are on sale now and every ticket purchased online will include a digital download of COIN’s new album. For additional purchase information, please visit http://thisiscoin.com.

“Talk Too Much” was Top 10 on the Alternative radio chart for 6 weeks and landed the #6 spot overall on Alt Nation’s Year End Countdown. The track was also on the fan-based #Alt18 Countdown for 26 weeks, spending 4 of those weeks at #1. After ending 2016 on a high note, COIN started off the new year with features in TIME’s “21 Musicians We Want to Hear From in 2017” and Nashville Lifestyles’ “Ones To Watch.”

COIN—Chase Lawrence (vocals/keys), Joe Memmel (guitar/vocals), Ryan Winnen (drums) and Zach Dyke (bass)— recorded their self-titled debut album in Nashville with Grammy nominated producer Jay Joyce (Cage the Elephant, Sleeper Agent), which was released in the summer of last year. COIN has toured non-stop with acts such as The 1975, Bad Suns, Walk The Moon, Passion Pit, Young The Giant, and Neon Trees. The band will release their sophomore full-length album this spring.
