As we move on to our next premiere, we are heading North on PA where we find our next amazing artist, Veltlitle. His newest single blends gritty Americana music with an Alternative spin that gets under your skin and haunt you down even after you finish listening to the song.
“Pilgram” immediately starts heavy and steady with a tone and tempo that reminds you of the freight train style of Johnny Cash. As the track enfolds Veltlite brings his vocals in which blend the edge of rock and country that continue to deliver as the song builds. With the booming chorus, bringing the song ever further building stronger we reach the epic crescendo filled with strings and raw emotion. It’s then you realize this is more than a folksy Americana song, this is something new and engaging, a wonderful debut from an artist writing from a unique background (Did we missed to tell you he’s actually Amish?), telling his tale of breaking away from his un-normal norms.
Veltlite is the artist name (not band name) of a debut alt-americana musician from Pensilvania. He brings in an array of influences on his unique brand of music. Heavily influenced by a family history whose roots in America are tied to Amish Christian beliefs and some family members joining a cult as described by stories passed down from his mother. He also takes notes from modern composers and a strong attachment to the tales of American Southern literature. Veltlite recorded most of this debut EP including the track “Pilgram” at his home studio. Doing it this way took over two years to complete where every single element of the recordings went through a deliberate and painstaking process to bring you the uncommon and powerful new sound he has created.
