CODY LOVAAS Premieres “Extremely Catchy” Video/Single for “LIE”

“I think this song kind of relates to me as a human maybe more than it relates to me as a musician right now,” explains San Diego-based singer/guitarist CODY LOVAAS  about his new single “LIE”.  “It shows the less serious side of me, the side that just wants to go out with girls and hang out with my friends.”  Thankfully, this innate and primal appeal to be human has struck a nerve.

Watch the video here:

A surfer by nature but a serious and committed artist at heart, Cody started his musical curiosity at the wee age of seven. “I was in the car with my mom,” he says, “and basically, I straight-up asked her if I could start playing the drums—at seven years old, that would’ve made for a really loud house. So she said, ‘What about a different instrument? How about the guitar? Girls like guitarists.’ Of course, I asked her to sign me up as soon as possible.”

With “Lie” ready to splash him into the mainstream, Cody has a bright future ahead of him.  If this single is any indication, his wave should be breaking any second.

Cody will be hitting the road for a number of California dates in March. Be sure to look out for him in a city near you soon!
