12-year-old Rochester, NY-based pop singer Baylee Morrison is releasing her powerful debut single “Discommunication” on February 17th through Noble Steed Music. The inspiration for this song came to Baylee when one day she was upset that her sisters wouldn’t go outside and play with her because they were on their phones. She realized how distracted we are by technology, and that people are missing out on real life because they are paying too much attention to a virtual one. Baylee worked with songwriter/producer Elvio Fernandes of the multi-platinum-selling act Daughtry and Johnny Cummings to complete the song.
Baylee had this to say about working with Elvio, having initially met him at his Camp ROC Star: “Working with Elvio was the best experience of my music career. He is so supportive, talented and most of all, fun! I loved going to his studio to work with him and Johnny.”
Elvio added: “When I met Baylee I knew right away that she was a star. She has the whole package: singing, dancing, acting, great personality. You hear this voice of a seasoned pop star, and the fact that it’s coming from a girl that’s only 12 years old is just amazing. She’s an incredible talent.”
Baylee Morrison is enjoying the early days of her promising singing career. Her humble resume includes an appearance on The Bachelorette- LA and multiple national television commercials. She has been in the spotlight since the age of 8, including performances of our National Anthem at numerous events including Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres games.
