Today, buzzing Portland based duo The Last Artful, Dodgr and Neill Von Tally release their highly anticipated debut album Bone Music via EYRST. The duo, also long-time friends, teamed up to take listeners on a dark journey through the life of a blue collar worker tediously balancing a labor intensive & poorly paying job with a discordant home life & relationship. The 11-track album which is available everywhere can be purchased on iTunes here. In tangent with the super progressive album, the team is also stepping up the level of social engagement with their fans/followers with their Instagram multiverse @BoneMusicMultiverse.
Dodgr is a Los Angeleno existing in the cozy throws of Portland, OR, where the possibilities are limitless and the trees are as abundant as the roses. She’s a threat in every dimension; equipped with memorable melodies, an agile flow, and puckish, often ostentatious wordplay. You won’t forget the voice as soon as you hear it. On the heels of two EP’s, Fractures & Rare Treat as well as two singles, “Squadron” & “Jelly Hunt” Dodgr has begun to turn heads not only in the Northwest, but also world-wide, with attention from the likes of The FADER, Milk, Pigeons & Planes, 2dopeboyz, Willamette Week, Mishka NYC, Beats Radio 1, and more.
Neill is a true product of his environment. Northwest to the core, when he isn’t making beats you can find him surfing at the Oregon Coast. His time as an EMT took him to California, Boston, and Ghana, and the musical influences he took in around the world are apparent in his production. Neill’s production technique provides a unique mix of eclectic chopped samples from his own music & friend’s music, syncopated drums, and an affinity for the unusual. “My sounds are places,” says Neill, “each song is intended to take you to a certain place, a place that may be different for everybody.”
