Hi T, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

I’ve been feeling really good lately, trying to enjoy life to the fullest. I’ve been putting some work in at gym and been practicing some sports such as basketball and soccer, im really focused on staying healthy and staying in shape with my body lately. I’ve been snow boarding for the very first time 2 weeks ago and it was pretty fun, I really enjoyed the moment I had snow boarding.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “The Man”?

The song “The Man” was compose and produce by me but at first, the instrumental was created for someone else. So the instrumental of this song was ment to be for a another artist in the city but he never wrote anything for the instrumental, so I waited about 2 weeks to see if had finally finish writing the song for the instrumental but he never finished. Me as an artist, I didn’t want to go ahead and waste this instrumental so I started writing the lyrics for the song “The Man” and made this song my very own. It felt more easy for me to write on this instrumental because ive produce and It felt right finishing what I started. The single is available on Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, Amazon and ect…

Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?

What really inspired me to write the song “The Man” was the people I personally know in my city and that look up to me, they would always call me the man because they had some kinda faith in me to go and do what I truly wish without no fear even with all the outcomes. In my city its pretty thought being a successful artist because we don’t support each other, we rather hate than show love to are own people in are city. So its pretty much hard to make it out doing the things you like without no support and when nobody believes in your goals. But I felt that I should be the ice breaker and be the man to breakthrough this negativity in my city so I started making music in my city and the people would call me the man because they believe that I could bring a change to my city. And eventually, I’ve decided to write the song “The Man” because I was the man and did it for all my fans.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

I’ve been thinking of putting out a music video for this single but its not a guaranteed, there’s a 50% chance I do but it depends on feedbacks I get from this single.

How was the recording and writing process?

The recording for this single went great, I had a good time recording it and I felt more comfortable recording on the instrumental because I produce it. The writing process went well too because I was inspired to write something that the people saw me as.

What role does Canada plays in your music?

I can’t really say that Canada plays a big part of my music except for the culture side of my music and how I express my self because music is universal. No mater where you are, music will stay music. You can be in Canada, United State, Brazil, France etc… Jazz music will still sound the same in all those different countries, same thing with classical, blues, hip hop music and etc… I find that all of those different style of music sounds the same in all those countries because music is really universal. I think the different between all these countries would be the artist because the artist has a tendency to bring the culture of their country or their city in the mix in their music.

What draw you into trap music? How do you blend with this genre with other styles?

What draw me into trap music would be my surrounding, the people I grow up with. Trap is pretty big now a days, a lot of young people bang with this particular style of music and I’ve personally took a liking with this style of music. Theres also this style called Trap Soul music, it’s a mix of R&B vocal into trap beat. So I have tendency to blend a bit of vocals into trap beats in some of my songs.

How’s your new album coming along?

Its coming along great, I can’t wait for the people to listen to it. So far I’m liking how it’s sounding and I’m looking forward to sharing my music with everyone. My next project that will be dropping want probably a album but it will probably be a EP or Mixtape.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

I haven’t planed out the release date for it but the title I have in mind for it is “Let It Be Heard”.

Any plans to hit the road?

I’m really looking forward on hitting the road this year and who knows, I might be in a city near you.

What else is happening next in T Mitch’s world?
