Brian had this to say in regards to the upcoming single: Don’t Give Up On Me is a song about holding onto your idealism. It’s about hope in the face of hopelessness; when the odds are stacked against you, and you still don’t care. Dare I say, that all feels pretty relevant to me right now.”
He also added the following about the LP as a whole: Bug Fixes & Performance Improvements is a record born out of the madness and mania of being alive. The title sort of sums the whole thing up; we’re all just working on it one day at a time, two steps forward- one step back- rinse and repeat. Plus, I think it’s kinda funny.”
Brian will have a busy year in 2017, including performances on Cayamo (Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle, Brandi Carlile), and tour dates with Delbert McClinton, Liz Longley, Constantine Maroulis and Ryan Montbleau. Last year Dunne supported entire tours for Will Hoge and Liz Longley, and performed at Off The Record Music Festival and Down The Hatch.
