Fast becoming known as an electronic pop pioneer who is willing to push boundaries, Astronomyy – aka Worcestershire born musician Arron Davey – has a sound that reflects the scope of his project’s intergalactic name. Having already impressed with previous singles Hypnotized and Things I’d Do For U, he now presents his third single, Don’t Need U from the forthcoming EP ‘Rest In Paradise’. Listen here

Don’t Need U is a nod to his vast and loyal online fan base, the track is a rework of the original multi million streaming SoundCloud and HypeM hit which helped to cement Astronomyy’s  sound and career. A track which his fans have long cried out to be released in its fullest form. The track has already been added to the Spotify New Music Friday US and UK playlist, so where will it go next?

‘Don’t Need U is the song I wrote that inspired the birth of Astronomyy. it combines a love of old school hip hop beats and weird guitars. I wanted it to sound futuristic but with clear throw-back influences’

Astronomyy continues his tastemaker production work following the co-written/produced international Zara Larsson hit Never Forget You and the recent success of his edit of young LA songstress Billie Eilish’s Ocean Eyes helping to launch her global career taking the track to the top of the global viral charts.  Astronomyy will be supporting Gnash on the UK leg of his tour at the 02 Academy Islington, 1st March.

This year will also see the first releases from artists he has been developing on his label Lunar Surf.
