INDIE ARTIST SHANE DANCES WITH DYTTO

The official video for “Dance” – the new single from Los Angeles-based independent artist Shane – can be seen HERE. Views of the video on YouTube are already nearing 100,000 while views of the teaser, posted HERE on Shane’s Facebook, surpassed one million in four days and now exceed 3 million. On Instagram, the teaser has more than 400,000 views. Fans can purchase the single HERE.

Shane conceived, choreographed, cast, co-directed and edited “Dance,” which was shot at the historic MacArthur Park Plaza hotel in Los Angeles. It stars animation dancer/YouTube personality Dytto, who came to national attention via her “Barbie” dance video and appearances on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” Her credits include performances in commercials for Dr. Pepper, Target and Android.

“I knew Dytto was perfect for the video when I told her we’d be crashing a ballroom affair by sliding across the floor, hopping across tables, wiggling and thrusting into the air, and she burst out laughing and agreed without any hesitation,” says Shane. “Dytto has the confidence I was looking for, someone who wasn’t afraid to dance insane with me and crash a party full of normal people.”

“Dance” is the follow-up to Shane’s 2016 single, “Insecure.” Kings of A&R hailed Shane as a “wonder kid” after the release of the video for “Insecure,” which he also created, choreographed, co-directed and edited.City of Tenants proclaimed,”The video for Shane’s ‘Insecure’ is absurd, wacky & so damn brilliant…(equal parts) fearless, funky & fierce.” TheMusicMagazine.com observed,”[it] perfectly captures that fear of falling for somebody, while the electrifying dancing simultaneously acts as a visual synonym for the excitement that accompanies it.” The “Insecure” video, which has more than 500,000 views on YouTube, can be seen HERE and the teaser, which has over 6.4 million views, can be found HERE. “Insecure” has more than 600,000 streams on Spotify.

Shane takes his place alongside artists such as OK Go and Capital Cities who are gifted at bringing their songs to life with an innovative mixture of dance, filmmaking and joie de vivre. He grew up in Los Angeles, singing and songwriting from a very early age. The unsigned artist writes and co-produces all his music and produces and directs the videos. Shane is also a published children’s author and writes screenplays and books.

 “Dance” Lyrics

Los Angeles lights, lost in your dark eyes
oh the way you looked at me, hasn’t left my memory
you start moving closer, signal me to come over
so I took you by the hand and said

Dance if you’re feeling me
Dance let yourself free
Do you feel what I feel?
Don’t stop, this is real
Dance leave it on the floor
Dance leave me wanting more
tonight it’s just you and me
Dance you’re my remedy

Los Angeles nights, doubt in your dark eyes
cold air chill the bone, calm before the storm
you know this ain’t over, turn around and get closer
took her into my arms and said

Dance if you’re feeling me
Dance let yourself free
Do you feel what I feel?
Don’t stop, this is real
Dance leave it on the floor
Dance leave me wanting more
tonight it’s just you and me
Dance you’re my remedy
