On the fringes of London’s East End, dipping a toe into Essex, something was stirring…
Venues and promoters started to notice Short Stories, inviting them to play their shows. All the boys hard work was paying off, and the band took to the stages of some of London’s most iconic venues such as The Garage, The Borderline, Proud Galleries, 93 Feet East and Camden’s famous Barfly. Short Stories were getting attention and the rollercoaster of uphill success as the band supported Alt-J, played the official after party for the Arctic Monkeys and much more.
Short Stories had written a bold & captivating series of songs, that stuck in the minds of those that heard them. In the latter part of 2016, the boys locked themselves away writing and recording new material, knowing they had to better what people had heard and seen already. Having recruited a 2nd guitarist into the band, the sound has been taken to a new sonic level that makes Short Stories rise beyond everything they have done before.
So, now in 2017, Short Stories are back! With a brand-new release set to be unleashed on 2nd February – the ‘Valhalla EP’ is an explosive 4 track opus that stamps loud & clear who Short Stories are.
Short Stories are debuting the Valhalla EP at the Garage in Highbury, London, on the 4th February
