2017 marks a big milestone for LUCHA VaVOOM–one of Los Angeles’ most celebrated variety shows–as they celebrate their 15th year of mind-blowing Mexican masked wrestling, burlesque and comedy. Founded in Los Angeles in 2002 by Rita D’Albert and Liz Fairbairn, two fearless pop culture visionaries who’ve been pivotal to the downtown Los Angeles renaissance, they keep amping up the inspired insanity of LUCHA VAVOOM. In a world that’s gone off the rails, LUCHA VAVOOM is needed more than ever for the collective psyche.

This year’s show–billed as “Twisted Valentine”–will feature some of the most glamorous dancers and aerialists in the world, colliding with truly electrifying Mexican Wrestlers including: superstar CMLL Luchador, Mexico City’s RELAMPAGO versus Mexican masked mega-meanie MAGNO,singing sensation PRINCE POPPYCOCK with DIAMONDBACK ANNIE & LUX LACROIX,six-time Guinness World Record holder MARAWA THE AMAZING X CHARLIE LEMINDU, all your favorite luchadores: the bizarre love triangle of DIRTY SANCHEZ, JOEY RYAN and DAMA FINA plus THE CRAZY CHICKENS will literally light up the ring! “Twisted Valentine” will also highlight death-defying, pole-in-the air LEIGH ACOSTA who adds more girls this year to take it over the top, extra-twisted contortionist KRISTINA NEKYIA, OMG super-vixen MOANA SANTANA,and adorable aerial enchantress VERONICA YUNE!
