Milky Chance today announce a brand new album, ‘Blossom’, along with a new song from the tracklist ‘Doing Good’. The album will be released globally on March 17th but before its release, you can hear the band’s new music live on their intimate tour across Europe & then a handful of shows after release day in North America.
Following-up from their debut album ‘Sadnecessary’, which featured international smash hit ‘Stolen Dance’, which doubles as one of the Top 20 most Shazam-ed tracks in history, and top tracks ‘Down By The River’ & ‘Flashed Junk Mind’, we’re presented with ‘Blossom’ that promises to bring more of the duo’s funky reggae riffs and catchy melodies, along with Clemens Rehbein’s raw, raspy vocals.
As well as the announcement of a second album, new song ‘Doing Good’ provides a second dip into what you can expect to come March 17th. Rehbein explains, “it is a track to accompany those moments when you need an escape mechanism for surface conversations.” The first song revealed from the new tracklist, ‘Cocoon’, launched late last year, stormed out of block & remains Top 10 in various countries radio airplay charts.
Also, fans will be able to watch an interactive documentary which follows Clemens & Philipp in the studio where they recorded Blossom. The “Blossomentary” will include interactive features such as being able become the virtual sound mixer in the room whilst the band performs new track ‘Doing Good’ acoustically, and much more. The more the user explores, the more features become unlocked. This is the first of three chapters to be revealed before the album.
Those wishing to hear ‘Cocoon’ & ‘Doing Good’ live, alongside other new tracks from “Blossom” ahead of release, need to head to their tour also just announced. The tour kicks-off in the intimate settings of London’s 320 cap venue, Omeara, on 13th February 2017 and seeing them voyage to a number of equally snug venues across leading cities in Europe and North America including Amsterdam’s People’s Place, Berlin’s Musik & Frieden and Vega in Copenhagen.
