Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?
Hi!! We have been doing well! Thank you. Thanks for having us.
Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Be Ok”?
We released “Be OK” on November 24th. It is a song about a “relationship” (with “relationship” being loosely used) falling apart.
Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?
About two years prior to “Be OK”’s release, I (JP) found myself in a tight spot. I met someone on the road, and developed feelings for them. Turns out the feelings were not reciprocated in the same way, and ultimately it left me hurt and totally just torn and confused about so much.
How was the film experience?
It was great, we had a lot of fun, and got to travel. Half of the video is shot in Los Angeles, and half is shot in Houston.
How was the recording and writing process?
Recording and writing is what takes up the majority of our time. “Be OK” probably took us about 6 months to write, including all of the changes and udpates. It’s crazy how much you can improve on a track after listening to it a few times.
What role does Houston plays in your music?
Houston is where we got our start. Our Fanmily back home is so supportive. We would not be where we are without them. We know we can always come back to Houston with open arms. (Thank you!)
How does fashion influence your music and the other way around?
We love all things dark/alternative. We definitely get inspired by things we see, including all types of fashion. We love standing out amongst a crowd so being on the know about what’s in and what’s not is very important. When you see our videos, you’ll see how much fashion plays into what we do.
How’s your new album coming along?
It’s been a long journey filled with blood, sweat, and glitter – but it’s on the way. Hopefully to be released mid summer this year.
Any tentative release date or title in mind?
We are still working on an exact release date and title.
