Canton, Ohio-based rock band Hey Monea will be hitting the road, their first tour of 2017, on a co-bill with singer/songwriter Paul Pfau from Nashville, Tennessee. They’ll be kicking things off in Bluffton, South Carolina at The Roasting Room on February 16th playing from sea to shining sea for two months in an effort to promote their most recent releases. Both artists are releasing music via Noble Steed Music.
Dan Monea had this to say when discussing the inspiration for this upcoming tour: “There is a serious chemistry between Hey Monea and Paul. So we decided that we should definitely make some music together, and it would be selfish of us to make that music and not share it with everyone.”
Paul added: “I can’t wait to get on the road with those guys. Dan and Nate are like my brothers. Collaborating with them is always just so effortless and such a good time.”
Brothers Dan and Nate Monea have shared the stage with many of their musical heroes, including Bruce Springsteen as part of winning Hard Rock Rising in 2012. The band has also performed in support of the Bare Naked Ladies and the Goo Goo Dolls to the Doobie Brothers, Lady Antebellum, and Kid Rock. These influences resonate deeply in their music and was captured efficiently by legendary Grammy winning producer Dennis Herring (Counting Crows, Elvis Costello, Modest Mouse) on the bands’ major label debut, Cheap Souvenirs, in late 2013. Hey Monea’s latest single Roll With Me was recorded during the Cheap Souveniers sessions, and was released on October 28th 2016.
Paul Pfau is a modern-day troubadour, a skilled and eager listener, with a gift for setting the truths of love, life and loss to music. In 2015 he took his talents to Season 8 of The Voice, where as a member of Team Pharrell, he was fortunate enough to work with and be mentored by the likes of Lionel Richie and Nate Ruess (fun., The Format). Paul Pfau’s latest EP Great American Love Story (released September 20th 2016 also on Noble Steed Music) is receiving airplay on SiriusXM’s The Pulse and CoffeeHouse channels.
