Hi Jayspex, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Hi, I’ve been good! Just working hard on putting together some new material for 2017.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Get Away”?

The song is about feeling bogged down by life and the desire to escape it with someone you love. Sometimes it’s necessary to retract from life and recharge, regroup, and renew.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

We are currently working on a lyric video for ” GetAway “. However, we do have a few records we are planning on releasing very shortly with a music video.

How was the recording and writing process?

The recording process and workflow for getaway was something all on its own. The record happened very organically.

What was it like to work with Andel and how did that relationship develop?

Making music with AnDel felt effortless, and there  was something about the bold, distinct characteristics in his vocals that really brought the emotional depth I was looking for in my records. The relationship between us grew not only as creatives working together, but friends as well. Over the course of a year me and AnDel really learned to work with each other in a way that felt natural and the creative process was effortless.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

We do have two new singles coming out by the middle of January.

Release date is undecided, but it will be very shortly. The new tracks name is ” That Good Life. ” The song represents working towards a life that’s stress free, trouble free. But we wanted to showcase to the world that we are not rich and famous yet, but we are not afraid to work towards the things we want to achieve in life.

What else is happening next in JaySpex’s world?

JaySpex is currently working with an artist that goes by EJ. Jones, Ej is the CEO of ” Track Martians Music Group ‘ and is also an artist on his own. Ej took me on to the group as the head producer for the track martians music group. Working with the martians has been a whole journey on its own. I would love to expand on what I am  working on with The martians! Please feel free to throw out any more questions. Thank you!
