Multi-platinum, Grammy®-nominated recording artist Big Sean released his brand new visual for the track “Moves” this week. This is the second single from his highly anticipated album I DECIDED. set to release February 3 via G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam / Universal Music Canada. Pre-order the album HERE.
Directed by Mike Carson the video features the Detroit rapper showing off his own moves in a gradient blue room while a throng of models stand motionless around him. Midway through the video, when Big Sean’s verse intensifies, the lights go out, creating a strobe effect spotlighting his jewels. The 808 Mafia-produced “Moves” follows I DECIDED‘s first single “Bounce Back” which Big Sean dropped as a surprise on Halloween 2016. Later that night he made the debut performance of “Bounce Back” on NBC’s The Tonight ShowStarring Jimmy Fallon and since the track has garnered over 45 million streams on Spotify.
I DECIDED., the fifth album since 2011 and the onset of Big Sean’s rocket ship career, follows up Twenty88 (April 2016), his collaborative project (of the same name) with fellow Def Jam artist, Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter Jhené Aiko.
Prior to that, Big Sean lit up 2015 with Dark Sky Paradise, his breakthrough platinum album that became his first #1 career Soundscan debut. Dark Sky Paradise spun off five top-charted hit singles, starting with the RIAA triple-platinum “I Don’t F**k With You” featuring E-40 ( over 2.2 million Spotify streams). “IDFWU” was followed by “Paradise” (gold certified); “Blessings” (featuring Drake & Kanye West, 2x-platinum certified); “One Man Can Change the World” (featuring Kanye West & John Legend, gold certified); and “Play No Games” (featuring Chris Brown & Ty Dolla $ign, gold certified).
