British artist James Arthur has had quite an extraordinary year. The 2012 winner of The X Factor UK released “Say You Won’t Let Go” in September, his first single in over 2 years; the single shot straight to #1 on the Official Singles Chart in his native UK, where it remained for 3 consecutive weeks. “Say You Won’t Let Go” has since gone on to sell 2 million downloads worldwide and has been streamed more than 200 million times at Spotify. James’ second album Back From The Edge followed shortly after, earning James his first #1 on the Official Albums Chart in the UK.

This week, “Say You Won’t Let Go” closes in on the Top 25 at Adult Pop radio in the US, with more than 7 million in audience. James will kick off 2017 with his US television debut, performing “Say You Won’t Let Go” on The Late Late Show with James Corden on January 3 and the TODAY Show on January 5.

While 2016 might sound hard to beat, James is already laying the foundations for another successful year. Today he shares “Safe Inside,” a heartfelt and honest song about watching someone you care for grow into their own person. Inspired by his relationship with his sister, the track features a fantastic vocal performance from James, accompanied by beautiful strings and an unforgettable chorus. As a treat to his loyal fans who have supported him and his incredible comeback, James has dropped the video for “Safe Inside” today, Christmas Day. Watch the Frank Hoffman-directed video HERE.

Speaking of his year and “Safe Inside,” James said: “I can’t believe what a year it’s been. I want to say thanks to all the people that played a part and believed in me.  I’m looking forward to 2017 and pleased to confirm that ‘Safe Inside’ will be my next single. ‘Safe Inside’ is one of the most personal tracks on the album and touches on the relationship between myself and my sister.”
