Films & Casino – Cinema Takes The Gaming Floor

Gambling can be highly addictive, and so does a well-written film or TV series taking place at some casino or bet sports center, they can be highly entertaining and engaging, especially if some of them are based on true life – oh, how many of us love getting to know and sneak into the personal struggles and journeys from people we admire, hated or didn’t knew at all?

The gaming floors are filled with some compelling stories, everyone sitting at one of those gambling machines have a reason to be there, from greed to a special need. You know? What moved Robert De Niro on Martin Scorsese’s classic Casino where he plays a Las Vegas mobster trying to build a respectable name in the industry isn’t the same one that got Matt Damon back in the poker table on 1998’s Rounders, where he’s attempting to help a very dear and somewhat stupid friend pay off money owed to some mean loan sharks (you may take a look at some of the best bookmaker online that would help you get caught up into any of schemes). There are some dangerous men with a big thirst for revenge like Daniel Craig in the great Bond (reboot?) movie Casino Royale or the all time classic and the Oscar winning cape film The Sting starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford.

However, Casinos are not all about mobsters and overly dramatic, there’s always time for fun and if you are Danny Ocean, your meaning of partying would most likely be to call some of your friends and rob a casino. You can also try to beat the system like Kevin Spacey and his students leaded by Jim Sturgess did on 21, just make sure to not cross path with Laurence Fishburne or the whole plan would falls apart towards the end. You may also spare some healthy time with some old friends and have a good time, no heist intended, as seen in films like Last Vegas, the hilarious Rat Race, Elvis Presley’s Viva Las Vegas or Honeymoon In Las Vegas.

Even though it’s the holidays and we’re all most likely looking forward to catch on some classics in TV or enjoy Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them for a billion time already – there’s always a room for some gambling fun either at a physical center or watching on screen from the comfort of your own home.
