Since moving to London, singer/songwriter Sasha Tandon has been busy building on her already established YouTube and social media presence by working on a collection stunning new tracks which will make up an EP in early 2017. ‘Gotta Go’ is the first of these tracks and encompasses her urban pop leanings with a striking minimal bass production courtesy of DBF Productions. Follow up to her debut ‘Love On Me’, which was championed by BBC Introducing, SBTV, BBC Ulster and The Belfast Telegraph, ‘Gotta Go’ shows a step up in writing and production, with lyrical content and a stripped back vocal performance which highlights her ability to write effortless fun and playful pop melodies. Now based in London and with a team behind her, Sasha is buzzing about what the future has in store.
Since watching her first concert at 8 years of age (Destiny’s Child in Belfast), Sasha became hooked on performing. By using YouTube to gain an online presence she caught the attention of industry insiders and after moving to London and immersing herself in the pop culture of the capital she signed a publishing deal and started writing and developing as an artist. She worked alongside Jo Perry (Stooshe/X Factors’ Only The Young), Georgie Dennis (Cheryl Cole) and also met production heavyweights DaBeatFreakz (Usher/Jason Derulo) who have worked alongside her on several projects since.
Since posting an acoustic cover of Rita Ora’s ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ a loyal fanbase grew which Sasha calls ‘Tigers’ “I call them Tigers because they are fierce and loyal, two things that I like to reflect in my own personality.”
