Pop-country, singer-songwriters Auburn Road—Alicia Paulson, Paxton Martin and Kristen Brown are hoping to bring a little extra holiday cheer this year. The trio has joined forces with NoiseTrade.com and made their brand new holiday release An Auburn Road Christmas a ‘pay-what-you-want’ release with 100% of the proceeds going to Elk Grove HART (Homeless Assistance Resource Team.)
Elk Grove HART was established in May 2010, by founders Frank Lucia and Debbie Schoeneshoefer who saw the growing issue of people experiencing homelessness and developed HART as a method to assist people in becoming independent and self-sustaining. An independent 501c(3) non-profit organization with 100% of all donations going directly toward providing services for those in need on their journey to a better life providing local services to the growing number of homeless in Elk Grove. Their goal is to assist those experiencing homelessness in Elk Grove toward self-sufficiency and greater independence.
An Auburn Road Christmas has a little something for everyone. Featuring traditional favorites like “O’ Holy Night” and the reverent “Silent Night” their impressive take on “Carol of the Bells” and with a nod to their country roots the girls cover of LeAnn Rimes’ Christmas song “Holiday In Your Heart.”
”One might easily mistake these three teenage beauties as budding pop princesses but looks can be deceiving. These three are on a mission to enlighten and empower with their breathtaking harmonies and an undeniable uniqueness of her own” – Subba Cultcha
Their independent, debut, Fancy, out now, showcases the girls bright and contagious spirit throughout the infectious EP. Still in high school but wise beyond their years, the trio wrote all the songs and was encouraged to record their vocals the “old fashioned way” eschewing auto-tune in favor of the heat that is felt from raw performances. Produced by industry veteran Michael Anderson—former bass player and musical director for modern icons such as Christina Aguilera and Chris Brown; with production credits that include Ashlee Simpson, and American Idol alums Chris Daughtry, Kellie Pickler and David Archuleta, with mastering duties covered by Andrew Mendelson [Willie Nelson, Lady Antebellum, and Little Big Town.]
To help give Fancy an extra kick and a country rock edge producer Anderson enlisted members of Jason Aldean’s band to play on the tracks. Bassist Tully Kennedy, guitarist Kurt Allison and drummer Rich Redmond happily obliged.
