PREMIERE: Kevin Blake Goodwin Wish You A Merry Metal Djentmas

As we enter the holiday seasons, different groups and artists take this time to pay their own rendition to some of their most favorite holiday songs – we are teaming up with Kevin Blake Goodwin for the premiere of the hilarious video for his own djent version of “Carol of the Bells”.

As he comments, “Carol of the Bells” is one of my favorite Christmas songs of all time. There have been some pretty cool covers of it in the past including the one by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra which I have always loved. However, I wanted my arrangement of the song to have a little more heavy metal and Djent (a heavier form of metal) to reflect my musical style and personality. Once it was completed, I tackled the music video. What was meant to simply be a Christmas card-style musical greeting to friends and family morphed into a comical elf version of myself trying to steal my musical performance. I had a great time making the music video. I hope my fans enjoy it as well.
