INTRODUCING NAEYA

Some secrets are too big to keep. Music figured among those for the San Francisco native Naeya, who kept mum about her singer/songwriter dream all throughout high school and college. Upon graduating, a family friend convinced her to post her first singing video on YouTube which garnered thousands and thousands of hits overnight. Once her hidden talent was exposed, she decided to take the jump into unknown waters. She quickly signed a management and production deal, and moved to Los Angeles in 2012 to pursue her music career.

The Big Orange revealed exciting opportunities and endless possibilities: Naeya got the chance to work with producer Clayton William (E-40, Justin Bieber, Sage The Gemini) and to perform at the Grammy Party in 2013 before crossing paths with John Strucel. The latter helped her shape her raw, dark and emotional sound, inspired by singers like Låpsley, Banks and FKA twigs. This successful collaboration recently led to a signature of a co-publishing deal with distinguished production companies Alcon Entertainment and Sleeping Giant Media, home to artists known as No Doubt, Colbie Caillat, Paul McCartney, and many more.

Gearing up to unveil her Secrets EP on November 25, Naeya is now unraveling the first one of her many mysteries: Enough« I wrote it about the common struggle in a relationship of two individuals afraid of letting each other in, completely. It’s about that moment in a relationship where two people choose to accept things as they are, not knowing there is something better if they let go of the baggage that holds them back from feeling again », she says. Produced by John Strucel, Enough is an affective and effective gem, infusing indie, electronic and R&B influences. The single is accompanied by a simple yet beautifully executed music video directed by Elliot Feld (from the award-winning LA-based production company Feld Films) and the renowned choreographer/actress Rai Quartley (Ellie Goulding, Katy Perry, One Direction). With her strong vision and prestigious team, Naeya is off to a good start to become the new secret on everybody’s lips.
