Komox plays Los Angeles’ The Sayers Club on Thursday, December 1st at 9pm, and will perform new music from their recently released EP Dreaming Awake Vol. 2 as well as their debut release, Dreaming Awake Vol. 1, which was released in January.
The video for “Dreaming Awake” was created entirely in SandStory, a unique visual storytelling technique mastered by SandStory artist Joe Castillo. Castillo has performed for presidents, dignitaries and kings around the world, and was a finalist on America’s Got Talent for his breathtaking SandStory performances.
Komox was founded by vocalist and bassist Bryce Soderberg, long-time member of the multi-platinum selling band Lifehouse, and features long-time songwriting partner and ModwheelMood guitarist Pelle Hillstrom and drummer Kris Persson.
Having experimented with dark-pop sounds with production from (Nine Inch Nails) keyboardist Allesandro Cortini and collaborated with Producer/Mixer Tony Hoffer (Beck, M83) and Producer/Mixer Mark Needham (The Killers/Imagine Dragons), Komox played countless shows developing, writing and recording demos around Los Angeles before heading into the studio to record both volumes of DREAMING AWAKE. Musically the band counts the great sounds of Depeche Mode and Simple Minds among its influences with an underlying core of synthwave pop rock. They are currently in the studio in Los Angeles working on their debut full length album, to be released in 2017.
