Fresh off the back of his collaboration with Jonas Blue on the monster hit ‘Perfect Strangers’, the most in demand voice in music right now, JP Cooper is back with his latest single, ‘September Song’, released through Island Records and currently on the Radio 1 Playlist, having been track of the day, earlier this month. The single has now had over 22 million streams worldwide, and is proving just why JP Cooper is one to watch – having been announced on the BBC Sound of 2017 poll.

Now with an added visual, the single is moving from strength to strength; bolstered further by the haunting and romantic video, which sees two young lovers brought together against adversity – powered by memory and patience.

It’s been a whirlwind 12 months of festivals and headline slots for JP, including Bestival and sup- porting Stevie Wonder on the main stage at British Summer Time, along with a sold out show at London’s iconic KOKO, and not forgetting his Platinum-selling #2 collaboration with Jonas Blue, ‘Perfect Strangers’ earlier this year!

Having already been crowned “The sound of the moment” by The Evening Standard, JP contin- ues to break boundaries on his new single ‘September Song’. Reminiscent of his trademark soul- ful sound, ‘September Song’ draws on JP’s compelling voice and laid-back grooves, making it the perfect soundtrack to end your summer with.

Hailed by tastemaker and Beats 1 DJ Zane Lowe as “the future sound of Radio 1”, Manchester- born JP has spent the past couple of years confidently carving out his own path.

Both effortless and distinctive, it’s JP’s vocal that has won the singer and lyricist loyal fans across the UK and some of the biggest names in the music scene, including Stormzy and Ed Sheeran. Last year’s SXSW showcase only further displayed his prowess, cementing his ability to move beyond UK shores and engage on an international stage.

Having already received support from a plethora of influencers including BBC Radio One and 1XTRA, Shortlist, Clash Magazine, Hunger, Wonderland, Hypetrak and The Evening Standard, JP Cooper has firmly established himself as arguably the foremost new British talent. His forthcom- ing album is without doubt one of the most eagerly anticipated of the year.
