How would you classify your music?
I would call it Pop Music, even though many people involved with music I worked with, often classified it with Dance Pop.
Who are some of your top 5 musical influences?
I don’t have an actual top 5, talking about influences, some are very far from my genre like Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles or Arctic Monkeys and Muse, some are closer to me as an artist just like Drake or Shawn Mendes.
What do you want fans to take from your music?
I want them to dance to it, to cry for it, to laugh with it. Music is emotion, let’s play it.
How’s the music scene in your locale?
Well, my local must refer to Italy in its whole. Music scene is partly composed by American big hits, another part of it is made of Italian Pop artists that mostly take as role model hits coming from the US.
What is the best concert you have been to? What do you like most about playing live?
Well, I guess Radiohead in Bologna. Well, what I love the most is the crowd, but also the idea of gathering people.
Is there a song on your latest CD release here that stands out as your personal favorite, and why?
Yeah, it’s an unreleased one.. It’s called “Without You”. As it’s unheard I won’t say a lot about it, the thing that I love the most is probably the strong epic chorus.
How have you evolved as an artist over the last year?
I’ve been able to gather a lot of experiences, such as a full week work with C-Rod in my studio, he’s one that I can learn a lot from.
If you could meet, play a gig, co-write a song, have dinner, have a drink with any band or artist (dead or alive) who would it be?
Especially lately, I started going crazy for Drake, he’s one of the best candidates I think..
What’s next for you?
I’m probably coming back to the US for some more shows and interviews and at the beginning of next year releasing a new single and, hopefully, an album.
Hi Rico, welcome to VENTS! How have you been? Been good thank you! Can you …
