Indie rock trio, EZTV have revealed a new video for “Reason to Run” from their sophomore album, High In Place. Watch here

The video follows a cowboy lonesomely exploring New York City. EZTV offered insight into the inspiration, explaining, “We’re not a huge band. We hope to grow, but, sometimes, like the cowboy in the video, we feel lost, like outsiders. So, why do we live in New York City, where it isn’t always the easiest place to make art? Because we are content to be able to write, record and release our music, to play shows and collaborate with likeminded bands. You can always find pockets of appreciation if you get out there and look. Like at a monthly line dancing party in the NYC’s Chinatown.”

Director, Chelsea Burcz, said of creating the video, “‘Reason To Run’ struck me as a lonely pop song. I’m attracted to characters wrapped in loneliness, so naturally it was the song I wanted to hear over and over again. The visuals reflect the initial forlorn reaction I had from the song, that lost feeling of trying to force oneself into foreign social situations or environments. We have a happy ending, our character finds acceptance and redemption on the dance floor.”

EZTV released High In Place on September 30 via Captured Tracks. This year, they have toured alongside the likes of Jenny Lewis, Real Estate, Merchandise and Ultimate Painting. Upcoming show dates are listed below.
