‘Couldn’t Care Less’. An unlikely title for a torch light love song, no? But then we have come to expect nothing less from Emmi, an artist seemingly addicted to contradiction. A play on words turns a throw away phrase into a heartbreaking ode to unrequited love. Ballad as it may be, Emmi has crafted an epic and catchy rouser here; a veritable masterclass in how sad doesn’t have to mean soppy and slow doesn’t have to mean dull.
