THE FINAL FAREWELL FROM ALICE AND THE GLASS LAKE: DEBUT ALBUM, CHIMÆRA, TO BE POSTHUMOUSLY RELEASED ON NOVEMBER 18

The musical world that Alice and the Glass Lake artfully architected lives on brilliantly and beautifully within her long-awaited full-length debut album, CHIMÆRA, releasing on November 18, 2016. It’s available for pre-order HERE.

It’s an inspiring story of triumph and truth. With grace and breathtaking bravery, critically acclaimed singer and songwriter Alicia Lemke wrote and recorded the album while embroiled in a life-threatening battle with leukemia. Tragically, she passed on August 9, 2015, at the age of 28. Celebrating her life and legacy, the 11 songs comprising CHIMÆRA tiptoe between entrancing soundscapes, delicate delivery, and poignant and poetic lyrics. It’s as heartbreaking as it is hypnotic, serving as a tribute to this visionary artist’s impactful time here and a reminder of how incredible life can be.

In addition, she unveils the music video for the first single, “Coals,” through premiere partner Billboard. Watch it HERE. Donning a gossamer gown and bright lilac hair, she performs the ethereal and elegant track on the beach, bathed in rays of sunlight while the clip’s protagonist, Tavia Odinak, lithely moves in the sand. The video was directed by Ida Joglar and produced by Danny Garribay.

CHIMÆRA stands out as a lush musical pastiche of passion and power evocative of Alice and the Glass Lake’s immortal spirit.

Alice and the Glass Lake has enchanted countless listeners worldwide since the release of her 2013 The Evolution EP. She’s garnered acclaim from Pigeons and Planes, Indie Discovery, and many more, in addition to being named “Bonnaroo Band of the Day.” Tracks like “Luminous” would quietly amass over 130K streams on Spotify, while garnering over 80K cumulative YouTube plays. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of CHIMÆRA for years, and it’s finally arrived here, as a final gift. Welcome to Alice and the Glass Lake’s inspired dream world.
