SINGER/ SONGWRITER, KENDRA ERIKA RELEASES FOLLOW-UP TO “MIAMI LOVE” DEBUT VIDEO

Miami FL- Singer/ songwriter, Kendra Erika has recently release her new song, “After Hours” as a free download on October 15, 2016. The tune is a follow-up to her debut video, “Miami Love” which received critical praise. Watch here.

Kendra says, “After Hours” is for the lounge scene. It’s inspired by the feeling
you get when the night is winding down and your senses are heightened. The vibe is a bit dark, and is reminiscent of the gothic 1980’s synthetic elements; archaic through and through, hopefully it will captivate imagination through the avant-garde and mystical.”

Kendra has been busy in Los Angeles in the studio recording 2 new songs with Grammy- Award Winning producer, Damon Sharpe (Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue). The songs are set to be released November 2016.

The first song, produced by Damon Sharpe, “Oasis” is a fresh new take on nostalgic house music with a message that everyone dreams about. The concept of an oasis can be Vegas/an escape/experiencing a breath of fresh air/a transporting experience. Kendra explains, ”I wanted to write a visually aesthetic piece that transports the listener to either a summer memory, or a memory in general that was so uplifting you wanted to relive that memory over and over.”

Southern Florida native, Kendra Erika grew up captivated by the beautiful and powerful Bond Girls throughout the decades. She’s been obsessed with the classic American lifestyle and glamour of the 70’s and 80’s since she was a small girl who was fascinated with the Golden Age of film and always dreamed of being a Bond girl. Kendra says, “Twenty-first century views on sex and the traditions of dating have changed dramatically. The roles that we used to think exploited women in the James Bond movies can now be looked at with new eyes.  Bond women were in control and got what they wanted. Kendra’s personified perception is proof that the alluring roles women portrayed in the movies can now escape off the screen and be played out in the home and in everyday life.”
