Radclyffe Hall have shared new track “The Throne” today via All Things Go. You can listen to the track here. The song features Kiran Gandhi, former drummer for M.I.A. Dhy explains that the song “is very different from other songs I have released. I feel like it is my experimental psychedelic song. Lots of experimentation with phasers and reverb and balancing out what sounds good and what worked for me in the role of the producer.” On working with Kiran, she says “she really brought in that gritty cool funky element…She is such a talented musician, and I am glad she took the time to lay down beats for RH. Her touch on the drums definitely brought the song to another level.” Radclyffe Hall will be playing a show in Boston at Brighton Music Hall on 11/6 with Mr. Little Jeans.
Radclyffe Hall began in Boston as an experiment in analog and digital production. Steeped in rock, funk, and R&B, Dhy Berry started developing groove-heavy demos before developing them into fully fledged pop songs. Turning fear into agency and loss into catharsis, RH makes noir pop anthems for the bedroom and the dance floor alike. Lyrically and musically, RH is as individualistic as they are decidedly for the masses. Live, the band consists of Dhy Berry on lead vocals/synth/bass, Jaqui Rae Stewart on vocals/synth/piano, and Sean Camargo on vocals/drums. Radclyffe Hall’s debut album G H O S T S is out now on Cleopatra Records.
