With 11 million collective Spotify streams under his belt and a handful of Hype Machine chart topping singles to his name, Fractures returns with new single, ‘Fall Harder’. The track is plucked from his highly anticipated debut album, slated for 10 February 2017 and titled Still Here. The record’s name aptly pays homage both to his persistent song-writing following the freak accident which saw him crack his neck, but also the nocturnal isolation (whilst based on the Mornington Peninsula off the coast of Australia) during which he wrote most of the record. The moniker of Melbourne-based multi-instrumentalist Mark Zito, Fractures continues his musical career trajectory, having performed at BIGSOUND and currently on tour with singer-songwriter Emma Louise on her national album tour, where Fractures’ layered live set continues to impress audiences across Australia.
Written and produced by Zito and mixed by Wayne Connolly (Boy & Bear, Paper Kites), ‘Fall Harder’ explores the value of relationships, the regret of taking someone for granted and the sense of hopelessness that prevails after being left by someone you have hurt. The single follows the release of ‘Alchemy’ and it’s accompanying live clip.
With his own sold out national headline shows, festival appearances including Splendour in the Grass, and an impressive list of supporting slots for Daughter, Holy Holy and Wild Beasts, Fractures’ five-piece live band is wrapping up their much-talked about tour with Emma Louise on the 4th of November in Sydney.
