WET PREMIERES TWO NEW SONGS ON THE FADER; BAND CURRENTLY HEADLINING NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH DEMO TAPED

This morning, Wet premiered two exciting new songs on The Fader – the melodic ballad “The Middle” and the arresting, alluring “Turn Away.” The new tracls are the band’s first unveiling of new music since their Columbia Records’ debut album Don’t You, which was released in January of this year. Both singles will be available on Spotify and Apple Music later today and additional DSPs tomorrow. Wet also kicked off their North American fall tour last night in Philadelphia, PA. Atlanta artist Demo Taped opens for the band on the 20 city trek with performances in major cities including Boston (10/21), Toronto (10/23) Seattle (10/31) and Los Angeles (11/5) before closing out the tour at New York City’s Webster Hall on November 19th. See complete list of dates below and visit http://wet.band/#shows for more information and tickets availability.

Wet shared with The Fader, “These songs are about being stuck in in-between places on a few levels. Being in the ambiguous place between the end of a relationship and whatever is next. Our country being between presidents and feeling the collective anxiety while everyone waits to see what kind of place this is going to be in the next few years. Being between album cycles right now but still touring on Don’t You. Everything feels very up in the air. The thought of doing another tour with no new music to play seemed really unappealing to us, so we spent the last two months working on getting these songs together and out into the world as soon as possible. Working within album cycles and sticking to traditional ways of releasing music seem like less and less relevant every day. These songs are especially exciting for us because they were written, produced, and now are being released all within a couple of months. That’s not something we’ve been able to do in a long time.”
