Corinne Bailey Rae unveils video for new single ‘Hey, I Won’t Break Your Heart’

Multi-Grammy award winner, Corinne Bailey Rae, has revealed the stunning new video for ‘Hey, I Won’t Break Your Heart’ directed by award-winning director, James Frost (Radiohead, Coldplay, Alabama Shakes). WATCH HERE

Corinne comments, “I am so thrilled I could make this video. I have always wanted to work with Leeds based set designers, Lord Whitney. We talked about a circus theme and this dream was brought to life and taken to the greatest of heights by director James Frost, who filmed it in a freezing cold empty shop in Leeds.”

Described by MOJO as a “Prince-like ballad”, and “infusing gravitas with gentleness” (NPR), ‘Hey, I Won’t Break Your Heart’ is one of the highlights from her album The Heart Speaks In Whispers and is about the hesitancy of love for the second time with the same person. The song was recorded straight to tape with the acclaimed musicians Pino Palladino and James Gadson (Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye) at Capitol Studios, Los Angeles.

It provides yet another pin-drop moment in Corinne’s live set which has received rave reviews across the US, where she has been headlining, playing festivals, supporting Alabama Shakes and co-headlining with Andra Day. She concluded her US tour at Austin City Limits Festival as a Critics Pick, alongside Radiohead, Major Lazer and others and was widely reviewed as “one of the best sets of the weekend.”

Corinne Bailey Rae will embark on her first UK headline tour in five years at the end of this month, beginning in her hometown Leeds through to London’s Shepherds Bush Empire on November 8th. See full dates below.

Her latest album The Heart Speaks In Whispers continues to garner accolades on both sides of the pond, including The Guardian’s “The Best R&B of 2016” and NPR’s “30 Favourite Albums Of 2016 (So Far)”.  It is available on iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Spotify, corinnebaileyrae.com and record stores everywhere!
