Pola Bair Release New Hilarious Video For “No Chasers”

Previous to The Lonely Island, there were some really funny bands that made a living by making fun of society and other pop culture elements like They Might Be Giants for instance, but there’s no doubt the former SNL group has brought on some popularity to the genre – Polar Bair are the new kids on the block and they are in for killing. In the open call to their online fanbase, Pola Bair was looking for extras to be a part of a video that is a “nightclub/party scene in West Palm Beach, FL.” After watching “No Chasers” several times, it’s wildly apparent that might be the most understated description possible. This isn’t just a party scene, it is a no-hold-barred, vice-infused throw down chock full of sex, drugs, beats and rhymes, with the devilish duo of Pola Bair acting as over-the-top emcees. This club scene is off the hook and not for the faint of heart, but the big giant polar bear and the obvious good time being had by all keeps the mood light and the attitudes overwhelmingly positive.

Pola Bair, a sensationally provocative duo from Richmond, VA is one of those infectious acts that finds that delicate balance of having a good time but with a little dose of shock value to keep things interesting. Helmed by brothers Chris and Sean Reynolds, Pola Bair mashes up furious rhymes and frenetic beats to keep listeners glued to their speakers. They’re unabashedly over the top, and the best example of them at work is their trippy new video for “No Chasers!”

With their gloriously absurd wardrobes of shirtless royalty and heavy metal throwback, the RVA duo invoke the wit and tongue in cheek creativity of videos like “Threw It On The Ground,” by Andy Samberg’s musical troupe The Lonely Island. First seen on SNL, that particular clip has amassed over 83,000,000 views on YouTube. Sprinkle in some of the attitude of Dirt Nasty and Riff Raff and you’ve pretty much got a good taste of the Pola Bair aesthetic.
