Maradeen Release ‘Like A River’ Single Today – Above The Horizon LP Out October 21st

Maradeen release their new single today, entitled ‘Like A River.’ The song is from their  forthcoming album, Above The Horizon out on October 21st.  The set seamlessly blends pop hooks with masterful musicianship and southern rock flair with each song telling a story.

Guitarist and Vocalist Thomas Galloway penned ‘Like A River’ and explains the origin: “When I get the chance, I love to go up to my cabin in North Georgia and write music, it’s a small rustic area in the mountains overlooking the Cartecay River so there are several songs that have been influenced by the feel and scenery of that place. ‘Like A River’ is one of those songs. It touches on trust, the gratefulness of being loved, and how that feeling can flow over and through you like rushing water.”

Maradeen will be showcasing the forthcoming album along with their debut release and a surprise cover here and there through the rest of 2016.

The band combines a unique combination of jazz infused arrangements with real southern rock flavor; all of Maradeen’s members were born and raised in the South. With members hailing from Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, and North Carolina, the band came together in the music metropolis of Nashville in 2014. Between the tunes and the reputation for putting on a high-energy, killer live show soon caught the attention of Moon Taxi’s keyboardist, Wes Bailey to step in and handle production duties for their forthcoming album Keyboardist Kaitlyn Connor talks about working with Bailey: “Bringing in someone like Wes, who is not only an incredible musician but is also very involved in Nashville’s rock scene, helped give us the direction that we needed to make this album unique.”
