1. Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Been great and making more music!

2. Can you talk to us more about your latest single “The Man“?

Yes “The Man” is the first single off my new album, titled Year Of The 6ix. it was produced by Disally and it was mixed and mastered by Ekelly. I created the song and finished it myself.

3. Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?

The recent success of my singles and album motivated to tell a story that will connect my humble beginnings to this moment where I’m being seen as an established super star artiste.

4. Any plans to release a video for the single?

The video has already been scripted by multi award winning director Unlimited La and will be brought to life in a few months time.

5. You recently released your new EP Billionaire Ambitions – what’s the story behind the title?

Well I would it say it’s self explanatory because my ambition is to become a billionaire.

6. How was the recording and writing process?

For most of the songs, I created them in the studio with the producers and others. I recorded myself  but perfected them at the studio with Gospel On the Beat who mixed and mastered the whole Ep. It was fun recording and it was a bit stressful Re-recording most of the songs i had recorded myself but i always enjoy recording sessions. I don’t write my music, its really tiring, i make them mentally and perfect them after a few takes or sometimes i just do random freestyles on the whole song then pick out bits from that to create a template then i perfect the words and the beats and make it a complete song.

7. How has your upbringing influenced your music?

Positively i would say, it made me tough, and it made the streets accept me. It also made me learn so much about life and my experiences are mostly what i share in my music.

8. What role does Nigeria plays in your sound?

At the level at which my sound is being recognized globally i would say being Nigerian with my sound has made me one of the most unique hip hop brands in the game today, its easy to see the western influence in my sound but its also easy to know i’m not western.

9. What ambitions did you get to explore with this album?

Every move is step towards the ultimate goal, 3 of the songs turned out to be a success and we just dropped the Remix for one of them titled “Money Is Relevant”, it’s the first of its kind. It’s the true definition of my self innovated “Afro Hip “ genre.

10 – What else is happening next in Yung6ix’s world?

I have two new single coming out:

* Money is Relevant Remix featuring Percy And Phyno

* Let Me Know featuring Sony BMG pop star Davido

Besides that I got my Australian and Europe Tour coming up. Also my concert “Return Of The King” is set for the 17th of December 2016 in Nigeria with my new album dropping 1st of December.
