Following on from the release of his incredible 5 track EP titled: ’Slow Waves’, Louis Mattrs returns to 2016 with his phenomenal new Two Inch Punch-produced single, “Bow Down”. The new single sees Louis showcasing his talents in both performance and song-writing ability. ‘Bow Down’ is complimented perfectly by its accompanying visual, which sees Louis and his girlfriend walking through the Brighton sea-side, driving through the countryside, and looking like young-love’s dream. A very touching and heart-felt video, the sentiment is one of truth and honesty, as the cross-textured filming places Louis firmly in the realms of tastemaker talent.Watch the video here: http://smarturl.it/BowDownVid
Brighton born and raised, Louis Mattrs is very much a product of his environment, his surroundings, and those physical attributes that makeup his hometown. Combined, these influence the narrative he threads throughout his tracks.
No stranger to the music world, Louis has also featured on Chase & Status’ 2013 smash “Lost & Not Found”, as well as releasing his Beachy Head EP in 2014. “War With Heaven”, the first track from the project, was premiered as Zane Lowe’s Next Hype on Radio 1, as well as being feature on Meek Mill’s album trailer for Dreams Worth More Than Money. Also citing the likes of G Eazy, Annie Mac, and more as fans, Louis went on to work with SG Lewis, Danny Seth, and Paul Epworth, amongst others. Louis has also kept fans entertained, previously dropping the self-produced sensational mash-up mix of Tweet’s old school “Ooops” banger and Party Next Door’s “Wus Good”, which quickly became ‘1Xtra’s Record Of The Week’.
Louis Mattrs is back and with the promise of his debut album on the horizon, we highly recommend you stay tuned.
