MKSHFT’s Omkara as a music journey to mysterious world of India

The emergence of MKSHFT brings a truly breath of fresh air to the eclectic electronic music world. The mysterious man doesn’t say a lot about himself, he only mentions that he loves gadgets, animals, reading books, going out to historic places. And most importantly, he is said to be a serious and professional music producer who chose a right path of his career and decided to go to London for learning production and working with few mixing engineers. This brand new music producer from India loves to give Indian Music styles a grand makeover. MKSHFT introduces himself with his debut single called “Omkara”, a synonym of “Ganesha”, the elephant-headed god celebrated especially during Hindu festival known as Ganesh Chathurthi. The artist himself appears unexpectedly mesmerizing us with oriental vibes which define Indian culture and emotions. The producer gathered some samples related to the Indian vibe, rearranged them to create a cool dance concept around it and that is how “Omkara” was born. Free download

MKSHFT has always been strongly devoted to music, dropped school in order to focus on music production which seems to be a great way of expressing his roots and now he is shifting patterns in Desi/Bollywood Music where the growth was stagnant. The artist wants to modernize the vibe of Hindustani music globally with his skills. The concept and vibe could create a global influence because of the power of “INDIA” in the market. “Omkara” is a great example of inspiration he takes from Indian culture as the production refers to Ganesha, believed to be a God of Knowledge, worshipped by Indian people so that every new activity is about to be completed successfully without any obstacles. As for MKSHFT’s debut production, let it bring him success and motivation to produce more powerful and spicy tracks which he will vibe up with hardcore modern dance music spirit.
