The multi-Platinum and Grammy-nominated Goo Goo Dolls are set to play a UK tour starting in Norwich this Friday 8th October and culminating at London’s EventimApollo. The band will also release a new single ‘Over and Over’ which impacts on October28th.
Taken from the band’s current album ‘Boxes’, the jubilant ‘Over and Over’ has proven to be a highlight of the band’s recent North American live shows. “There’s just so much hope in that song,” says vocalist/guitarist John Rzeznik.
‘Boxes’ is a vibrant, sonically forward-looking album that manages to retain what their legions of fans love about the Goo Goo Dolls — indelible melodies, intimate, heartfelt lyrics, and the anthemic, uplifting vibe of their songs — while pushing new boundaries in terms of sound and production.
Goo Goo Dolls have sold more than 12 million albums and have scored numerous crossover hits including ‘Name’, ‘Slide’ and ‘Iris’ – the latter of which spent almost 12 straight months on the Billboard charts and held the #1 position for 17 consecutive weeks. Over the course of eleven studios albums, they’ve toured the world countless times, been nomination for four GrammyAwards, and John Rzeznik was honoured with the Songwriters Hall of Fame Hal David Starlight Award.
