Cruel Youth, the commanding new project from Teddy Sinclair, have released the highly-anticipated video for “Diamond Days.” Popcrushlabeled the track as “and old Hollywood lullaby, that twinkles with the nostalgic, bittersweet longing for better days gone by.”
The second single from the band’s debut EP +30mg, joins what Entertainment Weekly describes as “seven raw, unfiltered songs that recall differing genres, bouncing from doo-wop to bass-heavy hip hop.” The new project, which Sinclair describes as “intravenous hit of our love and everything I find beautiful,” found she and her husband/producer (Willy Moon) pushing the boundaries of her already fruitful music career, delivering a set of tracks that offer pointed, visceral depictions of modern life, love and addiction. The result of their intersection is a “retro-meets-hip-hop with fringes of beach rock, brought to life with some of the most beautifully candid lyrics we’ve ever heard,” according to Vogue.
+30mg continues the invigorating momentum Sinclair experienced while collaborating with Madonna on “Holy Water” for her #1 album, Rebel Heart, and Rihanna on “Kiss It Better” for her worldwide #1 album, ANTI.
Cruel Youth hit the streets starting in November, joining Kiiara on a major market tour through Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and nine other cities. The dates in full can be found below.
