17 year old Alberta native Charlie (Storwick) received wide spread attention when she took Canadian Radio by storm last year with her hit single “Ghosts”, garnering over 1.2 million streams on Spotify, 81,000 Shazams and selling over 10,000 units independently. The multi-talented singer, song-writer and actress recently released her pop-infused second single “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” (via Westsonic Music), to radio and followed with the instantly catchy lyric video which premiered online at ETCanada.com
Available digitally everywhere, “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” continues to showcase Charlie’s artistry – tastefully infusing ear catching pop and upbeat choruses with mature narration – the kind that one doesn’t normally see in someone her age. Known to many as Piper Gray from the YTV/Netflix series “Some Assembly Required”, Charlie’s stylistic shift from acting to music stems from a desire to create a sound that redefines pop music and connects deeply with an audience. Her craving to share something with others and having the ability to do so finds her compared by many to artists Lana Del Rey, Sia and Lorde.
In 2015, Charlie received over 14,000 spins at radio with “Ghosts” and hit the Top 30 on the CHR (Top 40 radio), Hot AC and AC Radio Charts. She was one of 25 artists chosen for the Macy’s iHeartRadio contest in 2016, joining such notable acts as Tokyo Police Club, Holychild and more.
