Producer/DJ REZZ‘s unique spin on underground techno has caught the ears of many key tastemakers in the dance music industry, including legendary electronic musician deadmau5 who released The Silence Is Deafening on his own imprint, mau5trap Records earlier this year. This fall, she returns with its follow-up Something Wrong Here, a six-song EP set for release on October 7 via mau5trap Records. Look for its pre-order to launch this Thursday, September 29.
Something Wrong Here highlights new eerie and grinding productions REZZ made a few months ago in between her hectic tour schedule. The EP includes one vocal track with “Melancholy” among a handful of instrumentals (“Purple Gusher,” “Cryptic,” “Paranoid”). Songwriter and vocalist Laura Brehm was handpicked by REZZ to create a song that musically equals its song title with sweet lyrics from Brehm, juxtaposed with her spooky midtempo techno productions.
Says the Niagara Falls, Canada-based rising artist of how she named her EP, “My friend and I were looking at art work one day [created by Chicago-based illustrator Luis Colindres] and one of them questioned ‘What’s wrong here?’ I got super inspired and decided to title my EP Something Wrong Here. I felt the name was super suitable and trippy.”
Her sound is as unique as her live show experience, where she is gaining a cult like following with every passing show. Having already garnered so much attention including being named in Billboard’s ‘Dance Artists to Watch in 2016’ and ‘The 25 Female DJs You Need To Know,’ Dancing Astronaut’s ’25 Artists to Watch In 2016,’ and support from MTV, Teen Vogue, LA WEEKLY and others, the stage is set for REZZ to explode around the world.

She then moves west for a festival play at CRSSD Festival in San Diego, CA before a highly anticipated hometown headlining show in Toronto, ON on Friday, October 7.
