Bridgit Mendler Shares “Atlantis” Video via Noisey + EP Out 11/18

Los Angeles based singer-songwriter and actress Bridgit Mendler is set to release her highly anticipated Nemesis EP on November 18th.  Upon sharing lead single “Atlantis,” the track hit #2 on Spotify’s Viral Chart, #1 on HypeMachine, garnered over 3 million streams across platforms, and earned praise from the likes of MTV, Nylon, Stereogum, and Pigeons & Planes.  Acclaimed producer Demo Taped served up a fresh remix of the track as well.

Today, Bridgit Mendler shares the official “Atlantis” video with VICE’s Noisey.  Produced by Allie Avital (Chairlift, The Knocks, Autre Ne Veut), Bridgit comments:

“We found a concept that has both dark satirical and heart-aching moments. I break into my ex’s house and try to recreate our lost love while he is passed out. Even in the midst of fun and light moments in life, my heart is limp as his hand hits my knee while we dance in the kitchen. I’m a huge fan of Allie’s work but in addition to that, she is a smart and warm-hearted person that went above and beyond to make this project what it is.”

Nemesis is a four track collection of self-assured and bittersweet relationship songs that entwine pop with hip-hop, alternative R&B, even dancehall. It finds Bridgit confidently bending her voice like a sonic shapeshifter navigating emotional bullets. Penned in the studio with co-producers Book (Mischa Chillak) and Spencer Bastian, the EP sees Bridgit reach a new level of vulnerability and transparency. If her 2012 debut album launched her out of the songwriting gate, Nemesis is the career-changing work that has tested her mettle.

Nemesis EP Tracklist:

1. Atlantis feat. Kaiydo
2. Library
3. Do You Miss Me At All
4. Snap My Fingers
