On the heels of the release of their new album, Kick At The Dust, PAPA are happy to reveal a video for their single “Comfort’s A Killer.” Calling the single’s chorus “stomping sugar-high” with “defiant resistance,” Flood Magazine premiered the the Ethen Berger-directed video. Kick At The Dust is the LA-based PAPA’s second full-length and marks a return to the Hit City U.S.A. label who released the band’s first EP in 2011. The duo is comprised of childhood friends Darren Weiss and bassist Danny Presant. Weiss was formerly in the band Girls (including recording on their critically acclaimed Father, Son, Holy Ghost) album) and has an extensive resume working with, among many others, the likes of Haim, T Bone Burnett, Florence + the Machine, on Elle King‘s hit album Love Stuff and The Distillers‘ Brody Dalle.
PAPA are touring the West Coast in support Kick At The Dust with dates that kick off October 17 in Santa Barbara, CA at Soho and conclude November 2 at The Fly Catcher in Tucson, AZ. The band are also playing in London on September 29 with Alexandra Savior at The Courtyard. All dates are listed below.
